On the Auxiliary Function

尽管辅助函数在教学中有广泛的应用,但并未引起人们的关注。本文通过若干实例阐述了辅助函数的来源和多方面的作用以及它在教学上的意义。目的在于期望同志们对此感到兴趣并作深入的探讨。

The auxiliary function has not gained sufficient attention from the students, though it is widely used. This paper has presented a few examples and tried,in this way, to interpret their sources, the various roles they have played and, finally,their significance in mathematics teaching.
