A Glimpse of China Foreign Students' View On China

去年11月中旬,北京语言学院来华留学生二系召开了三、四年级实习汇报会。根据教学计划,去年10月底至11月初,语言学院留学生二系组织三、四年级留学生分赴山东、江苏进行了一年一度的语言实习活动。去年是第11次,来自24个国家的近百名留学生踊跃报名参加,创历年实习人数最高纪录。短暂的实习生活给同学们留下了难忘的回忆,学到了许多课堂上学不到的东西,同时加强了他们对中国历史、现状、文化及农村生活的了解。回来后,他们用刚刚掌握的汉语,写出了一篇篇稚朴而饶有意趣的见闻。现选录几篇以飨读者。为保留原文特色,本刊未作润色加工。

In mid-November last year the Second Foreign Student Department in Beijing Language Institute held a report meeting on field trips by the third and fourth grade students. According to the teaching schedule, during late October and early November last year, the Second Foreign Students Department organized the third and fourth grade students to go to Shandong and Jiangsu respectively for the annual language practice. Last year's was the eleventh activity and was participated by about one hundred enthusiastic students from twenty-four countries, making the record in the number of practice students in the past years. The brief practice left the students an unforgetable impression. They learnt a lot which can not be learnt in the class, and they understood more about China's past, present, culture, and rural life. Upon their return, they used their newly learnt Chinese and wrote many simple but interesting articles on what they have seen. The following are selected from these articles and are published unpolished to keep the original characteristics.
