This paper presents the basic principle of electrochemical-mechanical machining(ECMM), the equipments and the machining method. The influences of all the technological parameters on the surface roughness of the chromiumplated pieces and the processing productivity are discussed. Finally, it's pointed out how the function of the reticulated cracks structure left on the chromium plated surface during the machining process improves the lubricating property.
