摘要 The nonlinear axisymmetric bending and stability of spherical caps under concentrat-ed loads at the apex are investigated. The nonlinear equations governing large axi-symmetric deflections of the spherical caps are solved by using the Newton-spline method.Solutions for both unbuckled and buckled states are obtained, and results are comparedwith those obtained from theoretical and experimental studies of this problem performedby predecessors.
