This paper discusses the asymptotic inequalities of approximation of differentiable functions by algebraic polynomials. Pointing out an error that was made by A.A. ЛNгун in [2] and [3], we establish the asymptotic inequalities for f∈C^r and f∈L^r, respectively, where 1≤p<∞ and r=1, 3, 5, …
