This paper is a review on high--temperature structural ceramics. In this paper, the differences between the special ceramics and general ceramics are introduced; the studying significance and present situation, some main types of high--temperature Soructural ceramics and their properties and problems exisled are mainly discussed. some views are put forward on development of ceramic materials used for engines and other mechanical structures.
