This paper is compiled on the basis of a report of a delegation headed by vice-director of the Second Equipment Bureau, MMEI Zong Fuzhen. on an investigation into USSR. Here authors mainly introduce the general state of heavy machinery industry, the Metallurgical Machinery Research Institute and the seven bigger heavy machinery works of USSR. It is rich in content and a rare materials for being acquainted with the heavy machinery industry in USSR.
