摘要
第28届国际地质大会已于1989年7月9日—19日在美国首都华盛顿召开.近100个国家和地区的5800余人参加了大会.我国派出了由60名地学工作者组成的,以程裕祺教授为首的代表团参加.这次大会的内容包括学术报告、成果展览、工作会议、地质旅行、短训研讨等.学术报告会分14个学科专题192个分组进行.论文总数超过3500篇.初步分析其特点是:1.国际合作性课题增多:2.全球性问题日趋受到重视:3.开展“热门”课题研究;4.宇宙地质学在发展;5.地质学取得一系列新进展.29届地质大会将于1992年在日本京都召开.第30届地质大会将于1996年在中国召开.
The 28th International Geological Congress was held in Washington D.C. from July 7 to 19,1989. A total of 5888 geoscientists,students and accompanying members from nearly 100 countries and regions are registered. China has sent a delegation of 60 geoscientists . During the congress there v/ere technical sessions, exhibitions, short courses and workshops, business meetings of different organizations, are pre-, during-, and post-congress field trips. Symposia were -y classified into 14 disciplines and covered 192 subfields. More than 3500 papers (abstracts) were listed in the program. A preliminary analysis of these papers shows some characteristics in recent geoscience research and development.
