Galfan(Zn-5%Al-MM)coated steel wirefor machine-woven wire fencing has beendeveloped by the Baotou Research Insti-tute of Rare Earth in cooperation withthe Tian Jin No.4 Metallic ProductsPlant and the Inner Mongolia Woven WireFencing Company,and has passed the tech-nical appraisal by the Ministry of Me-tallurgical Industry.Results shows thatthe properties such as the strength,ela-sticity,toughness,etc,meet the require-ments.The coated wire has satisfactorymechanical properties and good corrosionresisting performance.The coating material,Zn-5%Al-MM。
