摘要
Evidence has shown that free Ca<sup>2+</sup> exists in plants as a second messenger which is mediated by calmodulin. A high Ca<sup>2+</sup> concentration is always found in plant cell wall, indicating that it may play a key role in cell wall physiology. However, there is no evidence to demonstrate a close relationship between the cell wall Ca<sup>2+</sup>
