Christite (TlHgAsS3), as a thallium sulfosalt mineral and also an independent mineral of the dispersed element thallium, is extremely rare in nature. Christite was discovered as a new mineral in 1977 in the Carlin-type gold deposits, Nevada, U. S. A. by A. Radtke et al. The christite discussed in this note occurs in a high-grade Tl ore deposit, Guizhou Province and has been reported for the second time in nature.
