标准密码表上有三个无字义密码子:UAA、UAG、UGA。它们有共性也有个性: 1。都做为翻译的终码。但“基因往往以UAA以终码”。 2°“从不促成任何AA—tRNA与核糖体联结。” 3°能为特异的释放因子(RF)读出:RF—1对应UAA、UAG;RF—2对应UAA、UGA。
Inspired by many discovered examples of variable genetic code,the writer of this thesis holds that the present nonsense codon originates from sense codon—UAG from the codon of Trp. ;UAA,UAG are the codon of Gln.. The writer has inferred its evolution progress, expounding why living organism can accept this significant biological principle.
