DIFFERENT COGITATING MODELS AND MEDICAL TRADITIONS BETWEEN CHINA AND WESTERN WORLD

By analyzing the cogitating models and approaches of research.the thesis discussed the difference in the traditions of sciences between china and western world. The diversity of Chinese and western medicines caused by these differences was also expounded. In the study of human body and diseases. western medicine has its characteristics of rational cognizance including experimental analysis and logical reasoning. Mean while, acient Chinese medicine put its emphasis upon intuition and sudden realizing,considering its object as a whole,cogitating and expressing problems through similarities of different objects. In exploring the nature of the world,the approches adopted by modern and contemporary sciences are form the phenomenon to its essence.from the outside to the inside. However.on the basis of QiGong,there was existing another approach of cogizance in acient China to study the object from the noumenon to its phenomenon. which was also called as the model of introversive realizing. By means of extroversive model.i. e..from analyzing to synthesizing,from the phenomenon to its essence,western medicine has undergone a complicated development. Today,facing the crisis of methodology of the western medicine as well as the reconsideration of the cognitating model of acient China and the tradition of QiGong,traditional Chinese medicine and other traditional Chinese sciences are certain to stage a comeback before long
