Most of pollution in hazardous waste disposal and dumping sites are multi-media that can circulate in air,water and soil.Risk analysis is con- cerned with pollution exposure in circulation.The migration and transfor- mation of pollutants in the environment(including air,water and soil)must be noted so that complete data can be obtained for the evaluation and control of pollutants. This article discusses various common hazardous wastes and explains how these pollutants contaminate media(water,air and soil)and damage humar health through different exposure ways(absorption,intake and skin contact).Common identification methods and new methods provided by EPA,USA are used to determine the volume of pollutants.
