Several new ideas are proposed on the interior ballistics of duel—chamber weapons. The physical mechanism of the variation of flow field behind the projectile by the energy input into the barrel was revealed which is helpful in gaining high muzzle velocity of projectile and understanding the interior ballistic fundamentals of such a weapon.
