摘要
本文报道对王曼新人工诱发冬瓜根瘤内生菌的初步观察结果。实验用的冬瓜根瘤样品由作者采自王曼新的试验田。实验方法是光学显微镜和电子显微镜的镜检术。对冬瓜根瘤切片的观察表明:根瘤中确有许多细菌。这些细菌存在于瘤细胞的细胞质中,而未见于胞间隙中。这些细胞质中的细菌与宿主瘤细胞呈共生关系,其体外皆无包囊膜包绕。它们在形态上与根瘤菌相似,而且大部分显示出根瘤菌类菌体的形态。有些细菌还在分裂。电镜观察所见与已报道的这种冬瓜根瘤具有固氮酶活性的现象是一致的。
This paper reports the prelimin?ry observations on the endophytes in root nodules of Benincasa hispida (Thunb.) Cogn. The material was collected from Wang Manxin'splot by the author. The observations on the nodule sections with light and electron microscope show the presence of a large number of bacteria. The bacteria are found in cytoplasm of the nodule cells, none of them being in the intercellular spaces. They are in symbiosis with the host cells, but not being enclosed by the membrane envelopes.Their morphology is similar to that of rhizobia. Most of the bacteria are like baeteroids. Some of them are dividing. The observations coincide with the good N_2-fixing activity of the nodule reported.
