This paper gives a brief analysis of the main factors affecting the book＇ s weeding criteria for library in a degree, including physical condition, content, timeliness, duplicates, circulation and usage data, subjective judgment, social survey and etc. It also gives a description of main ideas for disposing the weeded books. Finally, it points out that the construction of digital libraries will help the libraries weed books better.
