On the Influence of Economic Thoughts in Guan Zi on Lamp of Branch Road

The economic thoughts conveyed in Lamp of Branch Road can be traced back to Guanzi. These thoughts are： agriculture and industry and commerce should be paid equal attention to; peasants and industrialists and businessmen should be equally respected. It is the abovementioned thoughts that impelled Li Luyuan to introspect his Confucianism from the primitive materialist stand and helped him break Confucianism＇s limit. Therefore it can be concluded that Li Luyuan is not rigid in his thinking; instead, he is progressive in his ideas.
