摘要
随着网络的迅速发展,以太网技术得到了非常广泛的应用,由此作为关键网络设备的以太网交换机也得到了长足的发展.其中,以太网交换机所使用的以太网控制专用芯片多具有SMI接口,以实现对芯片的控制.考虑到以太网交换机的节能趋势,使用美国德州仪器TI公司的MSP430x1xx系列单片机作为以太网专用芯片的主控器件,使用软硬结合的方法,设计并实现了单片机系统与SMI接口的通信.介绍了SMI接口的特征和时序,并以以太网控制芯片RTL8305SC为例,给出了在MSP430x1xx系列单片机上用I/O实现SMI接口的硬件电路和相关程序.
With the development of network, the Ethernet technology has a comprehensive application and Ethernet switch has seen considerable expansion as key network device. Ethernet controllers used in the switch mostly support SMI, with which the controllers can be managed. Considered energy conservation trends, here I used the MSP430x1xx series single-chips, a product of the Texas Instruments TI in America, as the main controller of the Ethernet ASIC to design and implement communication between single-chip system and the SMI. It' s carried out with the help of hardware and software. This paper introduces the characteristics and timing of the SMI, then taking the Ethernet controller RTL8305SC for example, gives a hardware design and related programs to realize the SMI communication using I/Os of the MSP430x1xx series single-chips.
