我们主要在系统功能语言学的框架内探讨语法隐喻、特别是情态隐喻与文体的接面。语法隐喻和情态隐喻都是相对于一致式的某种变体。我们认为,语法隐喻的文体意义在于其偏离常规的特性、诗性效果和人物个性的诠释功能,情态隐喻的基本概念及其四个变量(向度、价值,归一度和类型等)具有丰富的语用信息,有助于解释文学语篇中人物个性以及人物权势关系。

The present paper is about the interface of grammatical metaphor, modality metaphor in particular and literary style. Some basic notions of grammatical metaphor and modality metaphor are clarified first, and their stylistic implications are revealed in the following discussion. It is pointed out that the metaphors＇ stylistic significance lies in their nature of deviance, poetic function and access to personality of literary characters, and the four parameters （orientation, value, polarity and type） of modality metaphor are helpful in interpreting the relationships of literary characters.
