Variation and its genetic effect of PRL exon 2 in geese

摘要 动物垂体前叶分泌的催乳素(Prolactin,PRL)具有广泛的生理效应,在家禽中与就巢、产蛋等繁殖性能有重要关联。本试验以皖西白鹅和莱茵鹅作为研究素材,运用PCR-SSCP法检测鹅PRL基因外显子2的单核苷酸变异并分析了变异的遗传效应。检测发现在皖西白鹅中存在C196T碱基突变,在莱茵鹅群体发现C170T碱基突变。关联分析结果表明,2个品种中的PRL基因外显子2突变均对鹅的开产蛋质量有显著(P<0.05)影响。 Prolaction (PRL),secreted from animal anterior pituitary gland, has broad physiological effects, biological roles. In avian, PRL is crucial for reproduction traits such as broodiness and egg production. In this study, the variation in PRL exon 2 were identified using PCR-SSCP and the genetic effects of the variation were analyzed in the Wan-xi White and Rhine geese. The result showed that a nucleotide variation,C196T, was identified in PRL exon 2 in the Wan-xi geese, and a nucleotide variation,C-170T was identified in the Rhine geese. Genetic effect analysis indicated that the variations in PRL exon 2 associated with the weight of the first egg weigkt of the stare laying traits geese (P〈0.05).
