新时期的《诗经》意象研究呈现出繁盛态势。一是文学的文化研究成为《诗经》意象研究的热点。众多研究者从图腾崇拜、生殖崇拜、神话、巫术、民情、风俗等文化背景来考察《诗经》原型意象的内涵及生成缘由,使当代《诗经》研究在跨学科、多视角的研究形态中呈现出新的活力。二是对《诗经》文学意象审美蕴含及功能意义的研究也取得了丰硕成果,这对于深化《诗经》文学化研究进程具有重要意义。

The study on images in Book of Songs in new age is becoming more and more prosperous. First, cultural study on literature turns a hot topic of study on images in Book of Songs. Taking totem worship, reproduction worship, myth, witchcraft, public feeling and customs as cultural background, many research workers investigate the connotation and causes of the original images and thus make the study of Book of Songs show a new vitality in cross-discipline and multi-perspective studying pattern. Second, the study on literary images＇ aesthetic connotation and dynamic meaning in Book of Songs has achieved great success, which plays an important role in deepening the literary study of Book of Songs.
