半个多世纪以来,我国军事历史题材的油画创作在借鉴西方古典主义及前苏联现实主义体系的过程中,取得了丰硕的成果。这一题材的油画创作在中国现代美术史上占有重要地位。随着"国家重大历史题材美术创作工程"的全面启动,军事历史题材的美术创作获得新的机遇。油画《颜省吾挽肠大战》就是其中的一例。

In the past half century, the oil painting production of military history theme in our country has had great achievements with the borrowing of the western classicism and the realism system of the former Soviet Union. The oil painting works of the theme have been playing an important role in the history of Chinese modern art. With the full initiation of the ＂National Art Creation Project of the Great Historical Themes＂, the art works with military history theme got new opportunities. The oil painting ＂Yan Xing - wu＇s Heroic Fighting＂ is one of the examples.
