AC inverter overvoltage fault＇s protection is protection measures to avoid the risk of the common DC voltage which is one of the design defects for VSI inverter with AC-DC-AC model. There are many reasons for this malfumction during the actual operation. This paper analyzes the inverter overvoltage fault causes, and to resolve the issue of over-voltage by some common measures. Finnaly the example of ＂inverter over-voltage when slow down running of the centrifuges＂ is explained and the overvoltage troubleshooting steps are carried out.
