Vehicle Traveling Data Recorder （VTDR）is a digital electronic device, which can record vehicle speed, real time,mileage and vehicle＇s other status information. In spite of owning the advanced technique, the aboard traveling recorders are unfit for our country in applicability and price. It is urgently necessary to design and produce the products. In this article, a Vehicle Traveling Data Recorder system is introduced in details about technology requirement and achievement. The author discusses the Vehicle Traveling Data Recorder including the hardware and software, test the prototype machine and put forward to the summarization and the prospect as the end.
