摘要
《京话日报》是辛亥革命以前北京最重要最有影响力的白话报。以往研究已充分肯定其重要性和影响力,但并未注意到《京话日报》在甲辰(1904)年创办初期曾面临贩卖机器乃至倒闭的窘境,亦未考辨《京话日报》的销售从两千份到七千份、再到逾万份的发展过程。本文以《京话日报》所面临的甲辰之困为切入点和讨论中心,描述《京话日报》在甲辰年所遭遇的困境,指出产生困境的原因,分析摆脱困境的转机,并阐释这些转机带给《京话日报》的根本性影响。《京话日报》为摆脱甲辰之困所作的一系列努力,不仅将其宗旨从"开民智"一度发展到"通上下之情",更重要的在于旗人开始广泛进入《京话日报》,而这种进入真正促成了《京话日报》的成功。可以说,历经甲辰之困,《京话日报》开始越来越显现出浓重的旗人色彩。
JingHua Daily is the most important and the most influencing newspaper in Beijing before the Revolution of 1911. The previous research has affirmed it, but the scholars don＇t notice the trouble of JingHua Daily in 1904, and don＇t observe the sale change of JingHua Daily, which increased from two thousand to ten thousand. This dissertation just investigates and argues about it. The dissertation describes the trouble of JingHua Daily in 1904, points the reasons of the trouble, discusses the chances that JingHua Daily how to get out of trouble, and analyses the basic influence which the chances bring to JingHua Daily. By the analysis above, the dissertation ultimately indicates that the Manchu enters into JingHua Daily is the basic reason of the development of JingHua Daily.
