摘要
科学发现的迟滞承认被A.van Raan称作科学中的睡美人现象。以超弦理论的两次革命为大背景,本文分析了L.J.Romans 1986年发表的一篇超弦理论睡美人论文沉睡与唤醒的过程,探索和讨论了引发其迟滞承认的必然性与偶然性因素。
The delayed recognition of scientific discovery was named as 'sleeping beauty in science' by A. van Raan. Taking the two revolutions in the development of the superstring theory as background this study analyzes the sleeping and awaking process of a sleeping beauty article of superstring theory, which was published by L. J. Romans in 1986. The inevitability and chanciness leading to the delayed recognition of Romans’s sleeping beauty article were explored and discussed.
