编辑道德终极标准是编辑道德规范和道德行为的根本准则。编辑求利行为既是编辑实现自身价值的内在动力,也是在市场经济条件下求得生存与发展的客观要求。分析编辑道德终极标准,其目的是通过调整编辑求利行为的各种关系,以达到编辑经济利益的最大化。结果表明,编辑道德终极标准并不是解决编辑工作问题唯一的或最好的途径,编辑工作中的道德问题需要编辑制度或市场来解决。

The ultimate moral standards for editors underlie moral norms and moral behaviors of edi- tors. Interest-seeking of editors is both the motivation of editor＇s self realization and the requirement of survival and development in the market economy. The analysis of the ultimate moral standards for editors is aimed for best economic returns by regulating various relations. It is believed that the ultimate moral standards for editors are neither the only nor the best solution to moral problems of editors, and the solution to moral problems of editors call for market or systemic approach.
