摘要
文章归纳、区分出三种地震“平静”的概念，综述了确定各种“平静”的方法及其在地震预报中的作用和物理机制。
The paper sums up and differentiates the concept of three kinds of seismic quiescence;summarizes the methods for determining different kinds of “quiescence”and their role in earthquake prediction,as well as the physical mechanism of seismic quiescence.
