Research on the Translation of Japanese Proverbs from the Cross-cultural Perspective

从跨文化角度探讨日语谚语与汉语谚语的文化共性与文化差异,从而揭示两种文化中的谚语在翻译中的特点。谚语翻译不同于一般语言材料的翻译,它需要译者从谚语的特点出发,把握好句意与结构的关系,形象的对称关系和文化差异的关系等。

This paper analyzes culture diversity and generality between Japanese and Chinese proverbs, discussing how to translate proverbs between the two. Translating proverbs is different from translating ordinary linguistic materials, therefore the translator should take the characteristics of proverbs into consideration and fully aware the relationships between sentence meaning and sentence structure, between symbolic symmetry and culture diversity.
