释元代“警迹人”

The Explanation of "Jingjiren" of Yuan Dynasty

"警迹人"一词在元代文献中常见,《汉语大词典》及《元语言词典》对其解释均不够准确。"警迹人"是指元代那些被官府纳入视线,实行重点管理和控制的民众。这些人可能有过前科受过刑罚(如刺字),也可能仅仅是因被政府怀疑而受监控。"警迹人"制度在现代并未完全消失,其名称已改为"重点人口管理",由公安部门负责实施。

The word “Jingjiren” was commonly used in the literature of Yuan Dynasty. However the explanations of it in Han Yu Da Ci Dian （ Dictionary of Language of Yuan Dynasty） The Great Chinese Dictionary） and Yuan Yu Yan are all inaccurate. “Jingjiren” in Yuan Dynas Ci Dian （ The ty were those people who were placed under surveillance and control by the government. They might had committed a crime and been punished （such as tattooed with characters）, or were just suspected and watched by the government. The system of “Jingjiren” still exists today, with a new name, Important Population Management, which belongs to the police＇s responsibility.
