On the Relationship between the Form and the Emergence of Beauty——Based on Ancient Greek Sculpture

美的产生与美的形式是辩证统一的关系,在古希腊雕塑中二者既是密切联系的,又具有相对独立性的。二者在形成和发展中不仅有相同的基础和动力,而且社会环境在它们各自的产生及其发展过程中同样发挥了不可或缺的作用。美的形式在美发展的过程中并不是消极被动的,而是在一定程度上具有积极的反作用和相对独立性。二者相辅相成,互相促进,相互推动。

The relationship between the form and the emergence of beauty is a dialectical unity. In ancient Greek sculpture, these two are not only closely related to but also relatively independent from each other. In their process of emerging and developing, they share the same basis and motivation and largely depend on the social environment. The form of beauty not negatively but positively interacts on the development of beauty in some ways while the former keeps its own dependency. In a word, these two are complementary to each other and promote each other.
