Known as the founder of modern Chinese education, Zhang Zhidong took ＂ establish industry and cultivate talents＂ as the major policy in order to bring peace and power to the nation and it had made great contributions to the development of China＇s modern industrial education, such as the establishment of many kinds of industrial schools, the classification of the industrial schools. Then he put forward a series of industrial education principles, teaching methods etc, and those formed his unique industrial education ideology.
