和谐的生命应拥有包括多层次需要的完备的生命结构。所以,小说应该从对人的物质存在形态的考察上溯到对形而上的精神境界的叩问,积极地赋予并强化生命结构提升和转化的功能。在小说创作中应当实行生命叙事和主体性抒情,作家在深刻的个体生命体验的同时,还必须借助人类的理性精神,实现对人的生命的关切、构想和追求,为人类铸造一架精神攀升的阶梯。

Harmonious life structure consists of multilevel requirements. Therefore, novels should trace from the observation of the existing form of human being to the exploration of the metaphysical spiritual insight, and positively give the life structure the functions of uplifting and changing and even strengthen them.
