FEM is an effective method on furniture strength analysis. Tbis article introduces its basic principles and main virtue. And it was illustrated with the FEA special soft ware on chair strength analysis. This method exhibited characteristics of quick response to get answers and the visualized results. It can improve the means of design and analysis, as well as the efficiency. It has very important meaning and extremely vast application prospects for the developments of new furniture product.
