The author analyzes the internal causes of having influences on modern residential building form from aspects of the composition of user and family, the adjustment of industrial structure, the development of the real estate and the changing of the life style, points out that the architect should stand on the aspect of the development of the whole city, and commence on the real requirements of the user, thus designing modem residential building which is suitable for modem life, different population and different family models really.
