Owning the advantage of extensive shorelines,Nantong has a solid basis of promoting a rapid development in shipping equipment industry.After analyzing the present situation and exiting problems and difficulties,the paper pointed out that we should strive to construct a modern shipbuilding model to promote a leap-frog development in Nantong shipping equipment industry.We should take advantage of information technology to increase the level of management.Universities and colleges should be brought into play to establish a comprehensive shipping technology in-novative system and cooperative bases based on the cooperation of industry,university and academy.Measures should also be taken to attract the talents so as to provide intellectual advocacy for the industrial development.
