Evaluation of the clinical effects of two different scalers used in subgingival scaling

摘要 目的:比较Suprasson PMax超声治疗仪和Gracey刮治器在慢性牙周炎龈下刮治治疗中的效果。方法:选取25例慢性牙周病患者,采用半口对照,随机分为A组(Suprasson PMax组)和B组(Gracey组),分别进行龈下刮治术。在龈下刮治术前、术后1个月和3个月分别检查观察患牙的各项临床指标(PD、AL、mBI)。结果采用SAS6.12软件包进行分析。结果:A组和B组在龈下刮治术后1个月和3个月,PD指数有明显改善(P<0.01),3个月后A组mBI的改善稍优于B组,AL指数无显著性差异。结论:2种龈下刮治的方法在牙周治疗中都能达到较好的治疗效果。Suprasson PMax超声治疗仪效果更佳。 Objective To compare the clinical effects of Suprasson PMax ultrasonic scaler and Gracey scaler used in periodontal treatment. Methods 25 patients with chronic periodontitis were selected using both the Suprasson PMax ultrasonic scaler (group A)and Gracey scaler(group B) in a split mouth design.The periodontal indexes(PD,AL,mBI)were recorded before treatment,one month and three months after treatment.SAS6.12 software package was used for analysis. Results PD indexfof 2groups had improved significantly after subgingival scaling (P〈0.O1).The mBI of 3 months after treatment of group A was better than group B,but there was no significant difference in AL index (P〉0.05). Conclusion The two didderent subgingival scalers could improve the clinical indexes in periodontal therapy. Suprasson PMax ultrasonic scaler was more effective.
