This paper describes cathode absorption reaction mechanism of maintenance-free battery, the influence of separator＇ s saturation on the early and late time performances of the battery, analyzes the factors influencing separator＇ s saturation during battery charging/discharging （production）, and gives the calculation method of saturation.
