摘要
2009年3月，第十一届全国人民政治协商会议第二次会议和第十一届全国人民代表大会第二次会议在北京举行。在国际金融危机带来严重冲击的形势下，如何做好保增长、保民生、保稳定各项工作，是今年“两会”上人大代表和政协委员热议的话题。来自社会各界的女代表和女委员，就金融危机下如何保护妇女儿童权益、促进妇女创业就业等话题积极建言献策，参政议政，撑起“半边天”。
The annual sessions of the 11th National People’s Congress(NPC) and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference(CPPCC) were held in Beijing from March 3-13.Facing the effects of the global financial crisis, NPC deputies and CPPCC members focused on ways to ensure stability,people’s well-being and the nation’s continued economic growth. The women deputies and members—who held up half of the sky—participated in policy-discussion and decision-making sessions.They offered suggestions on ways to protect the rights and interests of women and minors,and ways to promote women’s employment and entrepreneurship.Women’s contributions will play a crucial role in combating the global financial crisis.
