摘要
There are two principles in the tradition of Chinese political thought:the principle of politics and the principle of governing, the former is the ground of the latter. From these two principles Jia Yi answers the political problematic caused by the transition from the system of enfeoffment to the system of prefectures and counties. Through reflecting on the lesson of the Qin Dynasty’s destruction,he finds that only the discarded Wang Dao (the kingly way) is resumed can the real politics have a long peace. People are the end of politics, and the fundamental function of politics is civilization whose basis is Dao.Wang Dao is to civilize people with Li for a better ethos.
