The electoral college system is an important component of the U.S. presidential election, which has deeply affected the election system of the U.S. for 200 years. With the evolution and development of the society, it has developed into an electoral system which combined with the United States federal system and the political party closely. Although it has result a lot of difficulties in the history because of some structural problems, in the face of hardship, the constitutional stability and the spirit about rule of law demonstrated by the Americans is the fundamental guarantee for political stability. As tile balance of the executive, legislative and judicial powers, the electoral college system will continue to play an important role.
