刘坊是闽西上杭的亡明爱国诗人,他一生不仕不娶、孤高傲世、崇尚忠义、劝政为民、怡情山水。所著诗文《天潮阁集》被近世柳亚子称之为"足以惊天地而泣鬼神"。刘坊不愧为明清之际的杰出文人,足以让闽西人感到自豪。

Liu Fang is a patriotic poet in Shanghang of West Fujian, who witnessed the fall of the Ming Dynasty. Being proud and aloof, he remained unmarried and never set foot in the political circle all his life. He admired loyalty and pleaded for justice on behalf of the people. To him, landscape served for delight. His ＂Collections of Tian Chao Pavilion＂ was praised as ＂earthshaking＂ by Liu Ya-zi in modern times. Liu Fang was an outstanding scholar in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and all people in West Fujian can be proud of him.
