Relationship between American Universities and Their Communities:Conflicts and Collaboration

冲突与合作是大学与社区关系的主要表现形式。本文从住房、交通与停车、社区环境、公共教育四个方面对美国高校与社区间的冲突与合作进行了深入研究与分析,并对二者的冲突与合作进行了理性思考,提出了对我国高校与区域互动发展具有的启示意义。

Conflict and collaboration are two forms of the relationship between universities and communities. This article makes an in-depth study on the conflicts and collaborations between American universities and communities. The research focuses on the following aspects： housing, traffic and parking, environment and public education. In the last part, the article reflects the reasons rationally, which will provide some useful suggestions for the relationship between Chinese universities and communities.
