摘要
英美两国教育史学同属一个学术传统,20世纪60年代,随着修正派教育史学的兴起,两国的教育史研究趋于成熟,形成了不同的研究风格:美国教育史学界热衷于争论教育史研究的范围,批评、颠覆之风十分盛行;英国教育史学家则侧重扩大教育史的研究范围,英国教育史学的变化是渐进的,而不是革命式的;另外,英美两国的教育史研究都强调借鉴社会科学的理论与方法,但在具体研究中,英国教育史学比美国的更富有洞见。
The history of education as a field of study in Britain and America came from the same academic tradition, both of them were born from teacher's training. With the rising of Revisionism in the 1960s, they matured and formed different styles. In the United States, it was full of debates and criticism spirit. Almost every historian had tried to rewrite the history of American education. On the other hand, in the United Kingdom, the historians emphasized the widening of the researching scope, its changes was evolutionary rather than revolutionary.From 1960s, historians in both countries borrowed methods and theories from other social sciences. In this regard, the British historian' s work was better than their counterparts in America.
