On the Interpretation of the Buddhist Words in Gui Yuan Bi Geng Ji

《桂苑笔耕集》记录了唐末不少历史事件和历史人物,保存了许多我国正史失载的原始材料,是今人研究晚唐历史和晚唐文学珍贵的第一手资料。中华书局出版了党银平先生的校注本,其中的校注偶有可商之处,文章考辨了几个佛教词语,以希能为该书的再版修订提供参考。

Gui Yuan Bi Geng Ji records many historical events and figures in the Late Tang Dynasty. It holds many original references which were not recorded in the official Chinese history. It has first-hand valuable materials for the modern study of the history and literature of the Late Tang Dynasty. The Chinese Publishing House has published Dang Yinping＇s version with footnotes, among which some are worth discussion. This paper makes a careful study of several Buddhism words in Gui Yuan Bi Geng Ji, in the hope of providing some references for the re-publi cation and revision of this collection.
