Hugo H(a|¨)ring's Concept of Organic Architecture Viewed from the Garkau Farm

As one of the most important architect and theorist of 1920s, “Father of German Organic Architecture”, Hugo Hǎring advocated that organic architecture could be found in the essence of organic nature, while man-made geometrical and mathematical rules should be excluded. Architecture is the reflection of such functional organizations as mechanism and types, laws and orders. His concept of organic architecture was represented in his work Garkau Farm, which affected the practice of such organist architects as Hans Sharon and others.
