摘要
当代美国大众文化是美国现代化、工业化、城市化和市场化的产物,是大众社会与消费社会的产物,现代科学技术和大众媒介对当代美国大众文化的产生起到了巨大的推动作用,庞大文化消费群体的精神需求呼唤大众文化的到来。
Contemporary American mass culture is the product of American modernization, industrialization, urbanization and marketization. It is also the product of mass society and consumer society. Modem scientific technology and mass media play a leading role in the production of contemporary American mass culture, which is also the spiritual demand of the masses.
