Economic thought of CHEN Chi

近代经济思想家陈炽在商务、机器养民、货币等方面均形成了自己独到的见解和主张。在《续富国策》等中,企图利用"天心""天道"等理由说服封建统治者变革,提出设立上下议院等变革主张,以"公利""私利"的区别鼓吹发展商品经济。他的有关商务理论、"养民"思想及货币理论在当时发挥了重要的启蒙作用。

As a modern economic thinker, CHEN chi formed his distinctive understandings and views on business theory, idea of supporting the people by machinery and currency theory. In his books, such as Continuation of the Tactics of Enriching the Country, CFIEN Chi tried to persuade the feudal government to reform, and advocated the establishment of the upper and the lower chambers. He also advocated the production of commodity by explaining the difference of public benefits and private benefits. His business theory, idea of supporting the people by machinery and currency theory played important role in the enlightenment of people＇s thoughts.
