浅谈文学翻译中的信息丢失

On Information Loss in the Translation of Literary Works

翻译行为是在文化背景下的语言转换行为。语言文化的差异性会直接导致源语言信息不能完全在译语中再现。尤其是在文学翻译过程中,信息丢失成为不可避免的事实。信息丢失的原因大致来源于原作者、翻译者和客观语言文化限制三个方面。从译者的角度来看,信息丢失可被分为有意识丢失和无意识丢失两大类型。

Translation is the conversion of language under different cultural background. Translators always endeavor to represent the information of the original language completely , while his endeavor is hindered by the cultural differences. It is inevitable that some original information would lost during translating. It is because of the original author, the translator and the object situation that will directly leads to intended and unintended information loss during the translation , especially in the translation of the literary works .
